I agree with you that it cannot be JRE issue. And we have done the security model as you mentioned. We have user groups that we assign access levels/rights to and then apply these User groups to folders and reports.
Everything is working fine as expected in terms of Security.
The issue is with WEBI report not being displayed in Portal when we remove access to WEB based WEBI application for the end users.
I think Jawahar's advise is in the right direction, but still unable to get it to work.
Still pondering :-)
Any ideas appreciated.
